A love letter to London in one special video.
The London Museum closes its doors
The London Museum is moving to a new location, and it means a goodbye to the museum as we know it. It will reopen under the name London Museum in Smithfield Market in 2026.
Chocolate Films was commissioned by The London Museum to create a nostalgic video that would cherish the city and thank Londoners for their support over the years. The video is based on a beautiful poem by Courtney Conrad, who also stars and reads the poem out loud in the video.
The video was well-received and mentioned in Evening Standard with Josh Salisbury calling it a ‘love letter’ to London.
A poetic film about magical London
Our team wrote the script based on the poem, and the video follows the poem very closely. It takes the audience back to the past and the city’s long history and how the city has been evolving with clips to the future. It’s set in a playful tone and the aim was to capture all of the elements that make London special and loved by many.
We created the videos in different shapes and sizes to make them accessible and suitable for The Museum of London’s social media platforms.
Chocolate Films' own love letter to London
Years ago, we started a Chocolate Films project, where we wanted to offer people an insight into the lives of Londoners. The project is called 1000 Londoners, and the goal is to create 1000 short documentaries.
The videos feature people of all ages, religions, interests, races, and incomes. It doesn’t matter whether you are born in London or recently moved to the city. The only thing that matters is that you live here.
The content showcases London’s culture and its many facets.
