Championing Diversity in Leadership: Chocolate Films at Double Up & Access More!

At Chocolate Films, our mission extends beyond video production—we’re committed to empowering underrepresented voices and creating opportunities through our social enterprise model. That’s why we were thrilled to take part in “Double Up & Access More!”, an event dedicated to driving real action toward diversity, equity, and inclusion in business.

Held on February 28th in London, this landmark gathering brought together small and medium-sized business leaders, large corporations, and changemakers to reshape the future of leadership and opportunity for the Global Majority. More than just a conversation about diversity, the event focused on real, tangible actions that would close the gaps in leadership representation and business growth for historically underrepresented communities.

Rachel Wang on the Panel: A Creative Leader’s Perspective

One of the highlights of the event was the panel which Rachel Wang, Chocolate Films’ Co-founder and Director sat on alongside Mike Williams, Sukhi Gill, Ngozi Cadmus, Navid Amin. As a Person of Colour in the creative industry, Rachel shared her insights on what it means to be a leader in an industry where representation is still lacking.

Rachel’s journey as a creative entrepreneur and social impact leader is a testament to the power of perseverance, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership. She spoke passionately about the challenges Global Majority creatives face in accessing funding, opportunities, and platforms to showcase their talents—and how businesses like Chocolate Films are actively working to change that narrative.

Taking Action: The CX2 Pledge Mission

A key moment of the event was the CX2 Pledge Mission, a bold initiative encouraging businesses to double their impact for Global Majority-led enterprises. The pandemic disproportionately affected Black-led businesses, with 66% reporting severe setbacks, many of which they are still recovering from. Events like Double Up & Access More! are crucial in fostering support networks, unlocking new opportunities, and redefining what’s possible for these businesses moving forward.

At Chocolate Films, we understand the importance of meaningful partnerships—not just as a video production company, but as a social enterprise dedicated to empowering the next generation. Whether through our workshops for young filmmakers or our commitment to hiring diverse talent, we know that true equity requires consistent and intentional action.

Why This Matters

The drive, talent, and ambition within the Global Majority communities has never been stronger. But for real change to happen, businesses must collaborate, commit, and take measurable steps toward ensuring that leadership and economic opportunities are available to all. Events like Double Up & Access More! provide a vital space for conversation, networking, and action.

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of this event and to continue championing the vision of inclusive, diverse, and representative leadership.
