SHLC Education Equality Animation | Glasgow University
Animating Educational Inequality
Glasgow University approached us with a brief to create an animated explainer for the Centre for Sustainable Healthy and Learning Cities and Neighbourhoods.
The researchers wanted to communicate that research through a neighbourhood lens will help us understand how children and young people’s opportunities are affected and shaped based on where they live, and what their neighbourhood can and cannot offer.
We’re a professional, experienced video production agency that can bring the film of your dreams to life. Check out some of Chocolate Film’s recent projects and get in contact with us for a consultation today.
Told Through The Voice Of A Child
We responded by suggesting that the information would be best communicated through the voice of a child. The film communicates academic research through the first-person story of a child, navigating educational opportunities in different areas of a city.
The film was designed to communicate ideas about cities in general rather than a specific city, as this film is explaining research that applies to cities across the world
Using animation to raise awareness of social issues
Chocolate films works extensively with charities and youth organisations. Our team, who are all experienced facilitators, often work with groups of young people to co-produce animated content. Recent work includes films that look at mental health for young people, animations for charities supporting victims of violence and a film produced with young people in a young offenders institute. If you’d like to talk to us about your animation, just get in touch.
