Is it just a numbers game?
ICAS (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland) reached out to Chocolate Films with the exciting idea of taking their online annual conference, with over 2000+ viewers, and delivering it Live!
This event had to be informative, efficient and most importantly captviating!
With a large audience across the UK, the livestream is one of the central events ICAS delivers each year to is base of over 23,000 members, and this would be the first time it had ever been delivered live in a professional studio.
As with our many years of hosting livestreams across the UK and Europe, and a state of the art studio right here in our production office, Chocolate Films was up for the task!
Prepare, Prepare, Prepare .. and maybe once more
With two days of content to stream and a variety of talent on set we knew pre-production would be crucial.
Working closely with the ICAS team we quickly developed a detailed running order for the two day event, timing all sequences and on-set movements down to the minute (still making sure there was enough time for a quick sip of coffee here and there)
We fined tuned this over a number of weeks, welcoming any creative ideas and development from the ICAS team, ensuring we were encapsulating their vision and embodying their values.
Next on the agenda was to transform the studio from its current resting state as a blank canvas, to become a bright and professional setting where a series of exciting panel discssuions and interviews could happen with ease.
Our talented in-house tech team worked closely with the client to run through a variety of new software programs, creating a custome sequence for the event and ensuring all ran seamlessly, as of course…we are live!
Cool, Calm and Calculated
With a number of weeks planning and final tweaks to the final running order for the day, the Chocolate Films team were ready and raring to go!
The event was run with the assistance of the talented Meet The Leader team, whose expertise in talent realtions provided essential updates on all contrubtiors, from their arrival timings to any dreaded last minute drop outs.
The addition of an interactive Q&A at the end of both days allowed ICAS members the opportunity to ask questions in real time to both the host and panel members. A brilliant and inclusive aspect of the event that opened up the opportunity for debate and discussion on a number of prominent topics, and really brought the event to life on the screens of those watching.
The stream was a great success, with hundreds of members viewing across both days, and with highlights including discussions on the developing role of AI and interviews with financial experts such as Edwina Dunn OBE, Dr Zoe Webster and Lord Mark Price.
Getting out there
At Chocolate Films we love to work closely with clients looking to take the next step with their productions, whether this be scaling to a bigger audience or trying a new medium to engage with existing members.
Livestream is a great way to invite the audience to an event that is more exciting and intimate than a traditional online event hosted on platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Using professional cameras, audio mixing and on screen graphics, our talented production team can enhance all visual aspects of the filmed live event and produce a stream that can also be later uploaded to your social channels for any one who missed it.
